Papers of William Toole, a Baraboo, Wisconsin horticulturist, consisting mainly of his correspondence as state secretary of the Wisconsin Farmers' Alliance, 1891-1893. There are letters from national, state, and local officers, concerning plans for the organization, the National Farmers' Alliance and Industrial Union, secret work, the Peoples' Party, and the role of the organization in politics; some financial reports; and minutes of annual meetings.
